App Understanding When Payment from Fixed Envelope Is Made Early
R
Rebecca Jean
I have set up my debt payments as fixed to track the due dates, but I like to pay my cards before they’re actually due (based on when I get paid). So I’ll stuff the envelope, then log the transaction from the envelope, but whenever I do this before the day it is due, I will still get a notice that the payment is overdue in the app. I would love if the app could understand that I’ve made the monthly payment already and not say that it’s late

I would also love this for variable envelopes! My electric bill is variable but they notify me of what it will be a few weeks before the payment goes through - I would love to be able to log that expense on a future date. Right now I’m just reminding myself to enter it on the day the payment clears

Hi Rebecca Jean,
Thanks so much for your feedback—tracking payments early is a great habit, and I totally get how the app marking it as overdue can be frustrating.
If your payment is due within your current budget period, you can mark it as paid directly from the Transactions tab to avoid overdue notices.
