it would be so cool to receive like a yearly recap of each envelope. or like when you click on an envelope see a total of some sort, like a sum of the spendings in the last 12 months o since january o like picking a date to start the summer. let me explain my vision: this january i wanted to plan a little bit my year so if i went in the recap i could see that i spent too much in shopping and decide what was unnecessary. that way i can keep myself more accountable

Hey meggy, thank you for sharing this, it’s really thoughtful feedback. Just so I understand your vision better:
Would you want this to be strictly a yearly view, or also things like last 3 months, last 6 months, or custom date ranges?
Would you expect this to live inside each envelope, or as a separate “recap” or “insights” area in the app?
Any extra details on how you’d use this would really help us when we plan out the feature.

Sasha hello! i was thinking it could be in each envelope when you click on it in the main page. see attached image - so like in the red circle there is a sum of the last month by default (not last 30 days, but since the month started/since budget started). and then clicking on it you can change last 30 days/3 months/6 months/12 months/last year (so whole 2025, 2026 etc.). you could solve this more easily maybe just by allowing to choose start date and end date of the sum.
the thing is that it's really about being more conscious bc rn all i see in shopping envelope is -20€, -10€, etc. and i say "well it's not that much" but a customizable sum would make me understand better that money is adding up.
